My Philosophy

My goal is to provide you with a collaborative and nurturing environment to help facilitate growth and healing. I value each client’s autonomy, and will help you to learn to trust yourself, find your voice, and build your sense of self-worth.

Each of our relationships – with our self, family, friends, profession, culture, environment, etc. – work towards shaping who we are. Given the unique context of each individual’s relationships, my approach to counseling is not simply “one size fits all.” I tailor treatment to each client’s personal goals and needs, with an emphasis on values driven, solution-focused, and collaborative therapeutic techniques.

I believe successful counseling is a joint process between therapist and client, stemming from a positive and trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we will work to identify and navigate barriers that are impacting your well-being, and create healthier ways to relate to yourself as an individual, as well the various systems that you are part of.
